Get A Brighter Smile On Your Terms

In-Office & Take-Home Teeth Whitening

We offer both in-office and take-home teeth whitening at our office so that you can choose the process that’s right for you. In-office whitening offers very fast results, and can usually be done in just a single appointment at our office. Your dentist will clean and prepare your teeth, then apply a powerful whitener and activate it with a UV light. This process will be repeated until the proper level of brightness is achieved.

If you opt for take-home whitening, you’ll come to our office and get fitted for a set of whitening trays, which will be customized to fit into your mouth perfectly. You’ll come back to North Billerica Smiles in a few weeks to pick up a set of whitening products, as well as your completed trays.

After that, you’ll just follow the instructions to brighten your smile safely at home. You will get the same results as in-office treatment, though it may take up to 2-3 weeks or longer for your smile to brighten fully.

Affordable Smile Restoration

Dental Bonding, Shaping & Contouring

Dental bonding uses a special type of tooth-colored resin. This material is applied directly to your tooth to reshape it and cover up flaws like minor chips, stains, gaps between the teeth, and misshapen or uneven teeth. The process is quick, affordable, and totally non-invasive. You don’t even need to be numbed.

Shaping and contouring are also often used alongside bonding. This is done using a special tool to gently buff a layer of enamel away from some of your teeth. This is done to remove tiny imperfections and chips and to reshape pointed, uneven, or unsightly teeth.

Cover Imperfections

Porcelain Veneers

Veneers are tooth-shaped “shells” that are made out of porcelain and designed to cover the front surfaces of your teeth. By covering your teeth, they can restore your smile and correct a wide range of cosmetic imperfections. Typically, it takes 2 appointments over a period of 2-3 weeks to get veneers.

Unlike bonding, though, veneers require permanent enamel removal, so the procedure is not reversible. However, veneers last longer than bonding, are completely stain-resistant, and are more durable. Benefits of

Cosmetic Dentistry

When people think of the advantages of cosmetic dentistry, they often only think of the aesthetic advantages like an improved smile, a more youthful appearance, or whiter and straighter teeth. However, investing in the cosmetic appearance of your smile can boost your confidence, and well-being, and even improve your oral hygiene.

By correcting gaps and misaligned teeth, your teeth are easier to clean because there aren’t any overlapping teeth that are obscuring certain tooth surfaces. This reduces the risk of tooth decay, gum disease, and tooth stains.

Cosmetic dentistry often involves a combination of restorative dental treatments to repair damaged teeth or replace missing teeth. This improves your ability to chew and speak clearly. Missing teeth can be a major insecurity that causes patients to socially withdraw. Restoring your smile will encourage you to put yourself out there more and explore new opportunities.

Am I a Candidate for

Cosmetic Treatments?

If you have chipped or cracked teeth, discoloration, gaps, misaligned teeth, or are unhappy with the size or shape of your teeth, then you’re an excellent candidate for cosmetic dental treatment. However, there are some caveats.

During your consultation, we will need to rule out the presence of oral health problems. Candidates for cosmetic treatment must be in good oral health without any tooth decay or gum disease.

Severe damage may also not be appropriately addressed by cosmetic treatment and could require the use of dental crowns. Severe orthodontic issues like misaligned bites that are leading to teeth grinding and TMJ will require orthodontic treatment, not just being covered by veneers or bonding.

Does Cosmetic Dentistry

Damage Your Teeth?

When people think of the advantages of cosmetic dentistry, they often only think of the aesthetic advantages like an improved smile, a more youthful appearance, or whiter and straighter teeth. However, investing in the cosmetic appearance of your smile can boost your confidence, and well-being, and even improve your oral hygiene.

How Long

Do Cosmetic Treatments Last?

How long each cosmetic treatment will last depends on a wide variety of factors, including the specific treatment you are undergoing, the location in the mouth that this is being performed, and your oral hygiene and lifestyle.

To give some averages, teeth whitening lasts from 6 months to 3 years, dental bonding lasts from 3 to 10 years, veneers and dental crowns have maximum lifespans of 15 years, and Botox lasts for 4 to 6 months.

Ultimately, however, the lifespan of your treatment and restorations can vary greatly. The best way to extend the lifespan of your treatment is to practice good oral hygiene, attend regular dental appointments, avoid wear and tear and staining, and follow aftercare instructions.
